Our mission is to bridge gaps through critical daily personal needs, healthier food options , and educational advancements for underserved seniors and families with children thus creating sustainable lifestyles and overall better qualities of life.

Founded in 2000, Seniors Safe Space was established with the goal of providing community outreach services to local residents. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our support offerings to meet the evolving needs of our recipients.

At Seniors Safe Space, we are committed to creating a supportive environment for seniors and families with children in Maryland. Through the distribution of essential personal care items, food assistance, and supportive services, we help families maintain dignity, comfort, and independence. Our educational initiatives further promote wellness and improve overall quality of life.

Seniors Safe Space believes in taking a holistic approach to family support services. We understand that each beneficiary has unique needs, and we work closely with them to develop customized care packages that address their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

The Bin has been nationally registered and recognized as a community resource and is open Tuesdays 4 to 7 and Thursdays 4 to 7. This often comes with fresh vegetables and fruits.

Here at Seniors Safe Space we care for our seniors health and well- being. Understanding that seniors need help, we serve as a referral program to a Certified Maryland Medicaid home care program. They offer services such as Personal Care, Mobility Support and more. These services are insurance based and often free.

At Seniors Safe Space we feel healthy food options should not be out of reach for our community. Therefore we are partnering with Whitts Farm to bring fresh, healthy, choices to families and seniors in the community.
They also need and appreciate Volunteers!
Please let us know if you would like to help harvest food on the Whitts Farm!
